About MQI.

The quarry is expected to mine and produce boulders/rip rap and a range of aggregates of various grades ranging from boulders, 14/20 screenings, 6.3/10 screenings, 2.8/6 screenings, scalping, crusher run, blinding, screened aggregate (ballast) for concrete, to 35/20, 2.8/6, 6.3/10, 8/14 Category GC) for local construction and road infrastructure development. 

High Quality Granite & Gabbro

The project site consists of approximately 1,657 acres or 6.7 sq.km, containing over 30 million tons of recoverable reserves of high quality granite and gabbro, suitable for construction aggregates, roads, sea defenses and possibly dimension stone.

Our Goal

Predevelopment activities have been in progress since October, 2019. These include geologic exploration, lab-sampling, installation of civil infrastructure, preparation of preliminary technical reports, EPA compliance and completion of blasting licence application. State-of the-art crushing and screening equipment is being sourced from manufacturers with experience in the jurisdiction, and process flow sheets and a preliminary mine plan have been created.

Danley Major is a miner with over 20 years’ business experience in Guyana. He has been part of the mining industry in Guyana for over 14 years and has developed and managed many small-scale gold mining operations. Mr. Major brings significant expertise including familiarity with local operating conditions and deep knowledge of Guyana’s mining and business laws. He is responsible for logistical and day-to-day operations of the quarry
